2018 Livestock Contractor,
Announcer & Specialty Act

Championship Pro Rodeo is a name well known to the members of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. They are recognized for their even set of pens during rough stock events that showcase PRCA cowboys in competion.

CPR produces a nationwide series of rodeos that concentrate on quality production, superior entertainment, and born to buck livestock. CPR produces and supplies rock star stock to rodeo in Wyoming, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Minnesota, and Missouri as well as competing in all associations of the bucking bull industry.

“It is our goal to bring top tiered cowboys and well known livestock to our
rodeos. It’s a thrill for the fans, the rodeo committtees, the contestants, and
our company,” say Brett Barrett, Sparky Dressen, and Cullen Pickettowners of Championship Pro Rodeo..

Mike Mathis

MR. RODEO, MIKE MATHIS has been coming to Palestine as our announcer since the year 2000. Mike has been associated with rodeo since 1983 and the PBR for several years as well. His insight into the sport of rodeo gives him the ability to involve the crowd and provide a unique style to the most seasoned fan or the first time attendee.

Mike hails from Lufkin, Texas and we are proud to have him back again as the familiar voice of our Pioneer City Arena.

John Harrison is a noted rodeo clown and barrelman. He comes by his profession honestly. His late grandfather was rodeo legend, Freckles Brown. (Freckles rode the "unrideable" bull Tornado, the subject of Western Music songs, and was a World Champion Bull Rider) John was around rodeo and rodeo people his whole life.

John became a member of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) in 1999, as a trick and roman rider, and trick roper. He later diversified and added barrelman to his PRCA card.

John has worked rodeos from coast to coast and has made 5 appearances at the prestigious Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, NV, three times as a specialty act performer and twice as a barrelman. In 2012, 2014, 2015 John picked up the coveted award of Comedy Act of the Year. In 2014 he brought home the gold buckle that represents his achievement of Coors Man in the Can.

He feels blessed to be doing what he loves and with those he loves at his side. John married in 2006. He and his wife Carla have had four children; daughters Addison & Billie (now an angel in heaven), Charlee, and son, Cazwell. You won't often catch John without his family. Rodeos seem more fun with them at his side.

"Tricked Out Trickriding"

Dusta Lee Kimzey grew up as a cowgirl. As the 6th generation on their family ranch in Oklahoma, she's a hand with a horse and got started in the movie business thanks to her skills as a trickrider in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association.

She also competes at pro rodeos as a barrel racer. Her passion for the sport of rodeo and dare- devil stunts please crowds nationwide.

The newest addition to the Team Kimzey, “quarter of a horse” Lickety Split, is sure to win your heart!
