Bullbash on the Wabash
Bull Riding at it's best.
Kicking
off our Friday night will be our annual bull
riders only "Bullbash
on the Wabash." We
are excited to bring you rough and tumble entertainment at its best.
The Palestine Chamber of Commerce proudly presents, along with Pro Rodeo
the first-ever production of an exciting all bull event, plus a specialty
act, all pro bullfighters, and Rudy Burns as our Barrel Man. Yes, there
will still be bull riding in our rodeo performances, but this event will
be one you don't want to miss! We will start with a string of bull riders
to decide which will make the eight rider finals. Whoever wins the final
will have an opportunity to ride a "Bounty Bull" for $2,000.00.
This will be an action-packed, fun-filled evening of bull riding at it's
finest, rain or shine. Don't miss this rare opportunity to bring your
family to a fun-filled performance of "Bullbash on the Wabash." This
event will be produced by the National Final's "Stock Contractor
of the Year" for 2004, 2005, and 2006, Smith, Harper & Morgan,
and is sanctioned by the National Federation of Professional Bull Riders.
The
Pioneer City Rodeo is proud to announce we are joining the ranks of PRCA
Wrangler Partners supporting the research for a cure and prevention of
women's breast cancer in our first-ever Tough
Enough to Wear Pink? performance on
our Sunday night rodeo. Everyone wearing pink to
the Sunday night rodeo will have one dollar of their ticket price go toward
this important cancer
research. Please join us and Wrangler. Are you Tough
Enough to Wear Pink?

favorite features of our Labor Day Festival and Rodeo

ages love clowns and this is their chance to visit with
our rodeo clowns. On Saturday morning from 11:00
a.m. to 1:00 p.m. you and your child can eat lunch, talk
and have their picture taken with our rodeo clowns. We
serve hot dogs and soft drinks just inside the South
Main Gate at the Pioneer City Arena. "Lunch
with the Clowns" is open to all ages, so be sure
this is one lunch date you don't miss. ARTS,

CHUCKWAGON
BREAKFAST
Talk
about dedication, each year on Saturday morning nearly
50 volunteers
arrive on the corners of Main and Harrison Streets at
the unheard hour of 3:00 a.m. to begin final preparations
for the annual Chuckwagon Breakfast. Nearly 2000
hungry people are served a hearty, fresh-cooked breakfast
beginning at 6:00 a.m. each year. You might ask "what
do you feed 2000 people?" Well, how about, more
than 800 pounds of whole hog sausage, 400 pounds of pancake
batter, at least 1200 cartons of milk, and a minimum
of 200 gallons of coffee. You won't walk away hungry
from this meal! To entertain our breakfast crowd,
live C & W music begins at 7:00 a.m. Cost of this
unique breakfast experience, a freewill donation. ANNUAL
LABOR DAY PARADE
" Favorite Songs" is
this year's parade theme. Marching
bands, beautiful floats, color guards, horses, antique
cars and
more make this an interesting and colorful event year after
year. Thousands of people line the 2˝ mile parade
route each year with many of them reserving their favorite
spot the night before. Shrine clowns and pre-parade entertainment
begin at 9:00 a.m., so plan to arrive early so you won't
miss anything. If you have any questions or if you would
like to enter this years parade, please contact the Palestine
Chamber
of Commerce office.
